Jai Woods graduated from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts, concentrating in sculptural ceramics with a secondary studio focus in drawing. She was a teacher for the NC Public School System for seven years. Jai began her tattoo apprenticeship in Wilmington, North Carolina from 2021-2023.
She specializes in illustrative black-and-grey while also enjoying color work. Her favorite projects are custom pieces featuring nature, animals, and botanicals. For Jai, every tattoo is an opportunity to collaborate, create something meaningful, and give her clients artwork that feels entirely their own.
